Following the procession on 5th October, the launch of the World Day for Decent Work will be held at the Panafric Hotel starting for 8.30am. The event has been organised as symposium with a theme of "Creating Decent Employment and Promoting Workers’ Rights"

The Plenary discussion will be on:

• 1. Decent Work: Pillars of Decent Work- Kenya Context by COTU-K
• 2. Organizing the Young and the Precariously employed workers: Right to collective Action by ITF
• 3. Promotion of Social Dialogue in achieving Decent Work in Kenya by FKE
• 4. Challenges of achieving Decent Work in Africa by ITUC-AFRICA
• 5. Strategies of implementing Decent Work Country Report Programme in Kenya by Ministry of Labour and Human Resource Development

The event will end by the official launching of the world day for decent work by the Minister for Labour and Human Resource Development.
